Think. Ponder. Wonder.

I had a Psychology tutorial today at 11.00 a.m., and we watched a documentary on pregnancy/having children. But before that, Ian (my tutor) asked us to decide what age we want to get married and what age we want to have children. I decided around 25 and 28 respectively. Our whole tutorial class chose ages around that too. Like, late 20s.

We all had different reasons, I think. Some wanted to "bond" with their spouses first (*smirk* - I know what most of you are thinking now, but no, they weren't talking about sex.. at least, they said they weren't. =P), some wanted to be financially and emotionally stable first, some wanted to "test the waters" of their marriage before having children..

But Ian said we all missed out the most important factor. Education. Because we're educated and all, we decide to start a family at a much later age than the previous generations. I think we all didn't really think of that, because well, we're all educated. You just sort of take it for granted, you know? I really didn't think of that as a factor for delaying having a family, because in our generation, most people (the people we know, anyway) start families around that time. Hmmm.

Anyway, after that we watched a documentary on pregnancy, and there was a fair bit of nudity (of the female body) involved. I think they were trying to point out the changes to the female body during pregnancy. And we actually watched the birth of a baby. It's amazing, really. It really makes you think .................

Okay, back to something I didn't mention yesterday. After I got back the petition sheet (for the End Child Slavery campaign) I passed around during Literature Lecture yesterday, I noticed something. On the first page of the petition sheet, I wrote some stuff, like, you know, if they want more information they can contact me and all? Yes. One of the other things I wrote was "Please don't feel obligated to sign this, if you don't want to." Like, you know, just because their friends signed it, doesn't mean they have to. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong, right? But some smart aleck CANCELED out the word "obligated" and wrote of top of it "obliged". WHAT IS WRONG WITH OBLIGATED, I ASK YOU?? Someone tried to correct my English! Grrrrr... Haha. It's no big deal la, but I guess I was a little annoyed. If I WAS wrong then it would be different. BUT ......... Come on, at least make sure you know what you're doing before you correct other people. Geez! Okay, okay, I shall stop harping on about it. =P

I just cooked beef. I'm boiling a potato now.. And I'm going to attempt to make mashed potato. Wish me luck! =)

dammit, i shouldn't miss you, but i do.
