Thursday 1 May 2008

So so packed.

Omg, this has to be like, the busiest day EVER. To cut a long
story
(relatively) short..

9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. - English for Academic Purposes tutorial.
11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. - Environment and Development lecture.
12.30 p.m. to 1.05 p.m. - Meeting for End Child Slavery Campaign
(more information on this later)

1.05 p.m. to 1.12 p.m. - Run back to my apartment.
1.12 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. - Heat up lunch, eat.
1.33 p.m. to 1.40 p.m. - Run to Chemistry tutorial.
1.41 p.m. to 1.44 p.m. - Make copies of End Child Slavery petition form.
1.45 p.m. to 3.20 p.m. - Chemistry tutorial.
3.22 p.m. to 3.35 p.m. - Run back to apartment, change (because
I was wearing a long sleeve shirt and for some reason it felt REALLY
hot-I know, I'm weird)

3.36 p.m. to 3.41 p.m. - Run to Literature lecture.
3.42 p.m. to 3.45 p.m. - Make announcement to the people in Literature
lecture about the End Child Slavery Campaign

3.45 p.m. to 5.15 p.m. - Literature lecture.
5.45 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. - Student Committee workshop.
7.45 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. - Watch The Biggest Loser Finale on TV
(Sam won!! But Alison was REALLY close)

9.40 p.m. to 10.45 p.m. - Buy groceries at Safeway.

Okay, I possibly did an overkill with all the times and everything.
But it was a pretty packed day. Hehe.

Anyway, the End Child Slavery campaign is one of the assignments
we can choose to do for our Environment and Development project,
and it was on a first come first save basis, only 6 of the 60 something
E & D students get to do it. =P So basically we're promoting this
campaign. It's really cool. I sent this mass e-mail to the Trinity students
(well, it's still awaiting the moderator's approval), so here it is. =)

Hi all!

You may know from the Contact Bulletin (5th of May 2008),
an END CHILD
SLAVERY campaign is ongoing. The
End Child Slavery campaign is made up of
thousands
of young people who are speaking out against the injustice
of
child slave labour. In conjunction with this campaign,
a concert is being
held to raise funds for the launching
of new aid projects in India.

Event: GLOBAL NIGHT SHIFT

Date: 16th May 2008

Day: Friday

Venue: Waterfront City Docklands, Melbourne, Australia

Price: $20

We are selling the tickets next Tuesday and Wednesday
(6th and 7th of May
2008 respectively) during lunchtime
(12.30 p.m. to 1.45 p.m.) at the
ATRIUM, 715 Swanston
Street Lower Ground (where everyone had Subject

Selection).

If you are unable to make it for those sessions, that's
alright, you can
still get tickets! Contact me (Caitlin
Kang), Jana Loh, Rubhinni Durai,
Leticia Salles, Joanna
Yau or Gloria.

Go for the concert, seriously! It'll be a blast! =) Just so
you guys know,
this campaign is organised by the
Oaktree foundation, which is entirely
run by young
people (under the age of 26).
We can all make a difference!

For more information about the campaign, please go to:

www.endchildslavery.org

Join the movement and END CHILD SLAVERY!!

"END CHILD SLAVERY" T-shirts are also being sold
for $25. Remember, it's
all for a good cause! Again,
you can contact me (Caitlin Kang), Jana Loh,
Rubhinni
Durai, Leticia Salles, Joanna Yau or Gloria to place an
order for
these T-shirts.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me
(Caitlin) via my Trinity

It's a really huge campaign, I think it's international. It's definitely
being held throughout Australia.

I'm going to go to sleep now, I so need it! =P

Goodnight!!
