-beginning of nonsensical ravings-
Consider yourself WARNED.
Consider yourself WARNED.
=(
I'm about two hours into it (it's a quarter past 1 pm now, and I've been in Baillieu since 11 am), and I've covered what, 7 slides?
Which doesn't sound tooooooo bad.. BUT..
When you think about the (approximately) 360 slides that I (will eventually - within the first 4 weeks of Semester 1, 2009) have to study, JUST ABOUT NEUROSCIENCE, MIND YOU..
*&#(*$%!@*#&#!@ !!!!!!!!!!
Sighsighsighsighsigh.
This whole Neuroscience thing is doing my head in. =(=(=(
Haha it's quite funny though, in a way. Think about it. I'm studying about neurons right, and they're the stuff that carries information to and from the brain (yes I am aware that I am being highly UN-technical now -> my blog = whatever I want to write HAH. But I digress). So neurons, the brain, and all that are what makes up vision, hearing, memory, learning, processing, thinking, etc.
So here I am, sitting down on a swivelly chair in the remarkably quiet (but not as quiet as it's supposed to be GRRR) Baillieu Library of the University of Melbourne, studying about neurons and the brain and whatnot.
Which is not saying much.
But I find it sooooooo ironic and funny and whatever-else-you-can-think-of-that-has-anything-to-do-with-being-amusing, that the neurons and all that I'm studying about are the ones that are actually DOING the studying.
RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT??
I mean, to put it a little differently, the neurons (which aren't doing a very remarkable job with the studying, I might add) in my brain, which are the very things that allow me to do all this, are technically studying about themselves. Neurones studying about neurones.
Oh come on..
IT CAN'T BE JUST ME WHO FINDS THIS FASCINATING!!!!
=/
Grrr. Neuroscience is enough to do ANYONE'S head in. Don't mind me for now. Temporary insanity. I hate neuroscience. Sighhhhhhhh.
Back to pseudounipolarneurons, glia, nodes of ranvier and everything else Neuroscience.
-end of nonsensical ravings-
And here I will be, until you come for me.
