There and back again

Hello people ! I'm back in Melbourne! And guess what, guess what?? I got my internet connection up and running!! I'm soooo indecently proud of myself. Hey, it wasn't easy okayyyy.. I managed to set it up myself, don't mess. =)

Am currently using this service called Unwired, it's pretty good.. but I shall not be online often, because I'm such a good, good girl and I'll be studying most of the time. *grin*

I feel tired. I should be tired. But I can't go to sleep. Because if I go to sleep now I won't be able to sleep later at night. *sigh*

Okay, let's start with the plane journey. It was pretty uneventful. I finished reading Fahrenheit 451. *beams proudly* I find that book a bit weird. Hopefully I'll understand it better after Literature tutorial. After finishing the book, I watched PS I Love You on the screen thingy. Oh, I was sitting next to Carmen, by the way. We requested for two seats together because Carmen got scared Carmen said she'd rather sit next to me than some "Indian ARH (arm rest hogger)".

Did you know that Carmen plays her music EXTREMELY LOUD? And she was ASLEEP? And I COULDN'T SLEEP because her music was SO LOUD that I could hear it even though she was WEARING HER HEADPHONES. I kept tossing and turning (as far as an economy class aeroplane seat will allow) and in the end, I tried to block out the noise by putting on my earphones (the ones I use for my computer). That didn't work. Doesn't muffle noise well enough. Stupid earphones. I contemplated poking Carmen and making her turn down the volume, but since I'm such a kind soul and all, I just reached over and turned her FREAKISHLY LOUD VOLUME down to like, one. Which basically means it's switched off. See? I'm such a good friend, I make sure that she doesn't spoil her eardrums or something. Hey, I needed sleep okay!! XD

Anyway, that was about it.. oh yes, the food was horrible. When the plane landed and everything, and we were like, on the way out of the plane, I went ..

"OH SHIT"

And I turned back and started rushing back to the seat I just vacated.

Why, you may ask?

I left my laptop under the seat.

OMIGOSH RIGHT???

Thank goodness I remembered.

Or rather, thank goodness Carmen was in front of me, lugging all manner of heavy bags and looking as she was about to die so that got me to wondering why I had so few things to carry. THEN I remembered my laptop. See, Carmen can actually be useful. Who would've thought... *shakes head* XP (sorry la Carmen, my turn to insult you where everybody can see, and since I've had a 2 month hiatus and all..) *beam*

Yes, so Carmen and I arrived in Melbourne this morning. The plane landed at around 7.10 a.m. Oh, Ryan, Moon Yee and Shereen Tan were on the same plane as us. So was Eric, Chi Tien and Chin Yen. So many Trinity students on the same plane. =) Anyway, Ryan, Shereen, Carmen and I took the airport taxi-bus thing (don't know what it's called) back to College Square. So Carmen and I lugged our luggage to our apartment (which took some pretty ingenious planning. One word: elevators).

As I'm typing this post, Carmen is trying to force-feed me this erm.. concoction she.... cooked. Apparently it's chicken. So you'll know whose fault it was if I die tomorrow. Hee=) It's not too bad, actually. Of course, she didn't actually COOK the sauce, she bought it from an Asian mart. And she didn't actually know that her chicken was still a bit frozen on the inside when she cooked it, so she had to ask me whether it was cooked or not. (obvoiusly it wasn't cooked, it was still completely raw inside.) See? She depends on me. =) And then of course, there's the part where she burnt the chicken. Well, technically she just left it there and it got burnt. But must give her some credit... for her effort, if nothing else. *grin* kidding, kidding, Carmen, don't worry. We all know you're *cough* amazing.

Yes, as I was saying before Carmen tried to force-feed me. We got our luggage and everything into the apartment (no mean feat, I tell you), then we dragged ourselves all the way to Queen Victoria Market to stock up on food for the rest of the week. So super tiring, I tell you. And then after THAT, we went to Safeway (supermarket) to get the things we couldn't get at Victoria Market.

Neither of us has finished unpacking our suitcases. I think I don't have anymore space in the cupboard to put my clothes. Darn.

I'm hungry.

I'm sleepy.

I haven't practiced for my mime exam.

It's tomorrow.

At 9 a.m.

I'm soooo dead.

I'm going to cook my salmon now.

And I will crash out at 8.00 p.m.

I don't care. I'm tired.

P.S. - I GOT MY INTERNET TO WORK !!!! *beams proudly*

Till next time. *wink*
